French President Emmanuel Macron personally congratulated Team Vitality on their massive victory in the fifth season of the ESL Grand Slam for Counter-Strike 2. The country's leader praised the team's achievements on his X social media page, emphasizing the importance of their success for the nation.

"Thanks to their ESL Grand Slam victory, Team Vitality has taken France to the top of esports and proudly represented our colors. Bravo to the entire team!" Macron wrote.

Team Vitality became the champions of ESL Grand Slam Season 5 after their triumph at IEM Melbourne 2025. To claim the prestigious title, a team must win four top-tier tournaments organized by ESL. Vitality accomplished this by securing victories at IEM Cologne 2024, IEM Katowice 2025, ESL Pro League Season 21, and finally IEM Melbourne 2025.

For reference, IEM Melbourne 2025 was held in Australia from April 21 to April 27, featuring 16 of the world's best teams competing for a $300,000 prize pool.
