s1mple Joins FaZe Clan

On May 5, FaZe Clan officially announced the signing of Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, one of the greatest Counter-Strike players of all time. He will be replacing Helvijs “broky” Smits in the active CS2 roster, making his debut at IEM Dallas 2025 and later competing at the highly anticipated BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025.

After more than four years with FaZe Clan, broky has been benched. He joined the team in late 2019 and played a crucial role in FaZe’s success, helping secure numerous titles — most notably the PGL Major Antwerp 2022.

s1mple's Return to Competitive Counter-Strike 2

s1mple had stepped away from competitive play in late 2023 after leaving Natus Vincere. In 2024, he made a brief return with Team Falcons on loan, participating in several events, including the RMR qualifiers for the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 — though the team failed to secure a spot at the Major.

Now, with a full-time return to one of the most prestigious teams in the world, s1mple is once again ready to make an impact.
