How to Remove Hand Shaking in CS2
The animation of movements in CS2 makes the virtual world more realistic; however, some effects can distract players from the gameplay. One such distracting factor is hand shaking in CS2. This article explores useful settings that can make training sessions and clutch moments more comfortable during regular matchmaking. However, it's important to note that such changes are prohibited in tournaments.
Commands to Eliminate Hand Shaking in CS2
The simplest way to adjust the animation of movements is to use console commands.
To activate the console in CS2, press the "~" key. Ensure that the "Enable Console" option is turned on in the game settings. Then, activate the developer console by entering the command sv_cheats 1 in the console.
After activating the developer console, save the following CS2 commands to remove hand shaking:
-
cl_bobamt_lat 0: eliminates weapon swaying left and right.
-
cl_bobamt_vert 0: fixes the vertical axis of the player’s wrists, removing involuntary hand movements up and down.
-
cl_bob_lower_amt 5: adjusts the amplitude of limb oscillations relative to the torso during movement.
-
cl_bobcycle 0.98: disables camera shaking, reducing vibrations while running and jumping.
-
viewmodel_presetpos 0: saves all set parameters even after restarting the game.
-
cl_viewmodel_shift_right_amt 0.25: sets the minimum value for weapon swaying to the right.
-
cl_viewmodel_shift_left_amt 0.5: sets extremely low values for weapon movement to the left.
Configuring animations in CS2 has become easier thanks to console commands. Now your character moves the way you want, allowing you to focus on the game and achieving victory. A separate article will be prepared on how to configure the left hand in CS2, as this feature is also available in the shooter.
Binding Hand Shaking in CS2
If you want to quickly disable hand shaking in CS2 without having to enter commands each time, it’s quite simple! First, enter the bind command in the console, and then select the key you want to use.
For example, to assign the "E" key to toggle the shaking parameter, enter bind E cl_bobcycle 0.98. After that, press the Enter key to confirm the changes. Now, removing movement with the bind has become extremely easy.
Removing Shaking on a Special Map
Many players prefer to use specialized training maps in CS2 available in the Steam Workshop. These maps provide extensive options for adjusting game parameters.
For example, let’s load the crashz' Viewmodel Generator map. It allows for easy individual customization of hand shaking and other parameters.
Once you load the map, you will see an extensive menu where you can generate your own values and adjust hand animations. Select the "Viewmodel" block and press the green button labeled "Lowest Value." The system will automatically adjust the settings and disable hand animations.
If you want to try other features, the blue Default button will revert the settings to default, while the red Highest button will maximize wrist oscillations.

Does Hand Shaking Affect Shooting?
Hand shaking in CS2 is a visual effect that does not affect shooting accuracy or the actual behavior of weapons. It is merely an animation aimed at making the experience of running or shooting more realistic. Therefore, it is not possible to attribute a low headshot percentage to hand shaking.
These settings will help you achieve greater stability and focus during gameplay, so don’t hesitate to use them!
